What a research item must answer
A useful item states what changed, when it changed, which source supports it, how it compares with a prior period or peer, and which next observation could confirm or weaken the interpretation.
Evidence and inference stay separate
Reported facts retain their source and date. Transmission logic, possible causes, scenarios, and risk estimates are labeled as analysis rather than presented as settled facts.
Updates preserve accountability
A newer item may reinforce, narrow, or overturn earlier work. XALERT records visible publication or review dates instead of silently treating old evidence as current.
